We had a pretty modest Christmas this year, but the kids never complained. Everyone got new clothes, and Santa brought them each a sled and one toy. We got to spend time together as a family and that is the most important part. The baby had a blast tearing through the explosion of wrapping paper. It was a very nice day that turned into a great week.
We went out to White Mountain the day after Christmas and broke in the sleds. It was a pretty busy place. We lucked upon the Wilcox family and their supplies. Obviously they are better at this whole sledding thing than us. We mooched doughnuts and hot chocolate and sat around their fire.
New year's eve we had no intention of staying up until midnight, but it happened anyway. 3/4 of the way into our movie we realized it was 12:03 am.
Now it is midnight at the end of it all and Ashley goes back to school in the morning. Not sure I remember how to wake up at 6:30, and this is not the best tactic!
