So here we are. It's 2010 and as I look back I just can't imagine where the time has gone. Jason and I met in 1999 and married August 4th, 2001. Since then we have had 3 beautiful children- Ashley, BraeLynne and Eden- to add to the instant family we already had with my step-son Riley. Together we make a very colorful but well rounded and happy little family. For the last few years my job has been at home. It is such a wonderful privelege to be able to be there every day for my children. Jason, on the other hand, keeps very busy outside the home. In addition to his full time job in maintenance at the Sufco coal mine, he is also known as SSG Christensen with the Utah National Guard AND he is a member of the Holden Volunteer Fire Department. As if that wasn't enough to keep a person on their feet, he just started doing Veterans' Honors funerals this year. I am so proud to be married to a man with such loyalty for country and community and such passion for what he believes in.

Another Successful Day

I don't know what suddenly changed, but I am seriously winning lately. I have been getting everything on my daily 'To Do' list done and getting to bed early for a week straight now. And if you know anything about my sleeping habits (just ask my sister Abbie) that is a serious accomplishment. I feel great. I have been drinking as much water as I am supposed to, taking my vitamins and getting in my 2 miles as long as it does not interfere with getting to bed on time any given night. Things are just flowing smoothly along.

I built a whelping box for Lilly (Jason's Basset Hound) today. She is due to have the ugliest puppies you have ever seen in 5 days. When she came in heat for the first time I bought 2 big kennels and stuck them together. I did my part to protect her, but the neighbor's damned dog dug under the fence. I found him on the inside of the kennel one morning laying there like he owned the place. Now we are expecting BassetxBorder Collie/Heeler pups. Yay! Not. This is the first litter of puppies we have ever had, and I am not happy about it. I don't think the owner of the dog understands just how against having mutt puppies I really am. Not that there is anything wrong with a mixed breed dog, but there are never enough loving homes to go around.

Anyway, all rants aside, it is time to hit the sack!
